Canopy Tree Awards

Every year, Canopy acknowledges select community members through its Out on a Limb Awards for outstanding urban forestry volunteer efforts and Sofrenko Awards that recognize significant contributions to our local urban forest.

Arnold Soforenko Awards, for significant contributions to our local urban forest:

Dave Muffly
For his exceptional contributions to Canopy during his six years on the Board of Directors and his visionary leadership with the East Palo Alto Tree Initiative plantings.

D.R. Horton, Mayne Tree Service, and the City of Palo Alto
For their outstanding efforts to preserve the mature trees through the remodel of Rickey's Hyatt Hotel and Conference Ground.
